Services

Custom laser cut and CNC design that survives contact with the machine.

Custom SVG and DXF files for makers, workshops and product brands — new product design, CNC and 3D modelling, file repair and signage. Every project ends the same way: a layered, labelled file that cuts correctly on the first attempt.

Services

Four design services — pick the one that fits your project

01

Custom Laser Cut File Design

A bespoke, production-ready cut file built around your product idea, your material and your machine.

You bring a sketch, a photo or a rough idea. I return a layered vector file with correct kerf allowance, tested joints and a layout that assembles exactly as rendered. Supplied as SVG, DXF, CDR, AI, EPS and PDF.

  • Layered SVG / DXF / CDR / AI
  • Kerf-compensated joints
  • Assembly guide
  • Commercial licence

02

CNC & 3D Product Design

Three-dimensional products modelled from concept to photoreal render, ready for routing or engraving.

Modelled in SketchUp and Shapr3D, prepared for the machine in Autodesk ArtCAM, and presented with KeyShot renders you can use directly on your own product listings.

  • 3D model + toolpath-ready geometry
  • KeyShot product renders
  • Material and thickness spec
  • Revision round included

03

Production File Preparation

Existing artwork cleaned, corrected and nested so it cuts right the first time.

Open paths, duplicate lines, wrong scale, missing kerf, wasteful nesting — the usual reasons a job fails on the bed. I repair the geometry and hand back a file your machine will read without argument.

  • Repaired vector geometry
  • Optimised nesting layout
  • Material-specific kerf
  • Cut / engrave layer separation

04

Signmaking & Dimensional Lettering

Interior and exterior signage artwork, built in layers for CNC routing and laser cutting.

Shopfronts, wayfinding, dimensional letters and logo panels — drawn to real-world dimensions with mounting allowances and fabrication notes included.

  • Layered fabrication artwork
  • Real-world dimensions
  • Mounting and spacing notes
  • Material recommendations

How a commission runs

From brief to a file on the bed.

Most commissions take three to seven days, depending on complexity and how many revision rounds you want along the way.

  1. 01

    Brief

We agree on the product, its finished dimensions, the material and the machine it will run on.

  2. 02

    Design

Concept sketches first, then clean vector geometry or a full 3D model built to real tolerances.

  3. 03

    Test cut

Joints, kerf and fit are verified against a test cut before anything is called finished.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Layered, labelled files in every format you need, plus an assembly guide and a commercial licence.

Practical details

Before you commission a design

Turnaround
Three to seven days for most commissions. Rush work is possible — say so in your brief.
Formats
SVG, DXF, CDR, AI, EPS, PDF and PNG. Tell me which your software prefers and I will lead with it.
Machines
Files are prepared for CO₂ and diode lasers, Glowforge and xTool, and CNC routers. Kerf is set to your machine and material, not a generic default.
Licensing
Commissioned designs come with a commercial licence. Exclusive ownership is available — ask for a quote that includes it.
Revisions
One round is included in every quote. Further rounds are billed at an agreed rate, never a surprise.

Send the idea. I will send the plan.
