Laser cut and CNC files, designed for the machine — not the render.

I'm Tofigh Chaharlang, a laser cut and CNC file designer based in Toronto, Canada. Since 2019 I have been designing production-ready SVG and DXF files under the name Tofigh4lang, and one rule has never changed: the file has to work when it reaches your machine.

I started where most designers start — drawing shapes that looked right on screen. Then I began cutting them. Joints that were a fraction too tight. Boxes that did not close. Engrave layers the machine read as cuts. Every one of those failures taught me something a render never could, and it changed the way I work: material and machine first, artwork second. That is why my files are kerf-compensated, cleanly layered and test-cut.

Today my catalogue runs past four hundred laser cut designs — gift and jewellery boxes, candle and tealight holders, earrings, pendant lights, business card holders, wall shelves, bookmarks, signage and seasonal pieces for Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's Day. They are published on Creative Fabrica, Design Bundles, File4Laser and So Fontsy, where makers — many of them running small laser businesses of their own — have favourited them more than thirty-five thousand times.

Alongside the catalogue I take custom laser cut and CNC design commissions: a product a brand wants to own outright, a signage package for a shopfront, or a rescue job on a file that will not cut. If you are making something from wood, plywood, MDF or acrylic and the geometry has to be right, that is the work I want.

Questions

About the files and the designer

Who designs the Tofigh4lang laser cut files?

Every file is designed by Tofigh Chaharlang, a laser cut and CNC file designer based in Toronto, Canada, who has been publishing designs since 2019.

Which file formats do you supply?

Custom commissions are delivered as SVG, DXF, CDR, AI, EPS and PDF. Ready-made designs on the marketplaces list the formats included on each listing.

Will the files work on my laser cutter or CNC router?

The files are clean, closed vectors with kerf allowance on the joints and cut and engrave work on separate layers, so they open in Glowforge and other laser software and in CNC toolpath software without cleanup.

Can I sell the products I make from your files?

Yes. Designs bought on the marketplaces come with a commercial licence, and custom commissions include one too. Check the licence terms on each marketplace for its exact limits.

Do you take custom laser cut and CNC design commissions?

Yes, for makers, shops and product brands worldwide: new products, signage, and repairs to files that will not cut. Send your material, dimensions and machine and you get a quote within one business day.
